An elegant, yummy appetizer, that’s easy to prepare, for well under ten bucks.  Make these once, for a party, the family, or yourself and I guarantee you will make them again.

1/2 cup tomato juice
1 egg, well beaten
3/4 cup bread crumbs, Italian Style
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. parsley leaves
1 tsp. celery salt
1 can (6 oz.) crabmeat
12 strips bacon, cut in half
24 wooden toothpicks

1. Put your ovens shelf in its top most position. Preheat broiler. Soak toothpicks in water during preparation.

2. In a medium bowl, combine, and mix well, all ingredients except bacon. Divide into 24 portions. Shape each portion into finger-sized rolls; wrap each roll in bacon, fastened with soaked toothpick. Place rolls on a baking sheet.

3. Broil; turning rolls at about 1 minute intervals. Continue this process until bacon is cooked evenly. Drain on paper towels and serve hot!

These appetizers are so tasty they don’t require a dipping sauce. If you want to go the extra-mile here is a quick and easy recipe for Spicy Remoulade Dipping Sauce:

1 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup ketchup
1/2 cup horseradish
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbs. hot sauce
1 tsp. paprika

In a medium-bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well. Cover and chill at least 1 hour. This sauce is also great with shrimp or chicken fingers.
